Welcome and thank you for visiting the djh Interiors page.
I started the company after many years of creating unique furniture for myself, friends and family. I source all the furniture myself (mainly at antique furniture auctions) and create the finished pieces in my workshop/showroom. The end result is a truly individual piece that your friends will love and best of all is truly unique. As well as having a great item for your home you can also find reassurance in the fact that you are doing your bit to re-use instead of buy new, at DJH Interiors all the furniture and many of the accessories are up-cycled items, I also use eco friendly paints and waxes.
Visit my showroom at Battlesbridge Antiques Centre to see up to 40 pieces of furniture and accessories. You can meet me, ask me questions and watch me work as my studio is attached to the showroom. You can also browse my furniture that has not yet been re finished.
I also take commissions; I can either source items for you to your specification and then re finish them, or you may have a piece of furniture that you already own that you wish to up-cycle, either as a stand alone piece or so that it better blends with other items. For example you want your dresser to coordinate with your kitchen.
I also offer a furniture refinishing service in the customers home, it is possible to update fitted furniture such as fitted bedrooms/kitchens and bathrooms. It could also be that the item is just too big to move.
Away from DJH Interiors I am a father of 3 and have a passion for theme bedrooms, I would be very happy to discuss ideas for a bedroom that your little prince or little princess would love. I am currently working on my sons StarWars bedroom and will add pictures when it is finished and TIDY!!!
Join me in my studio for a 3hr class on paint effects using chalk paint and wax, you will be part of a group of up to 6 people.
Join me for a furniture painting day, you will need to bring along a small piece of furniture that you wish to paint, I will teach you all you need to know about preparing the item, painting it in your chosen style and finishes. This is suitable for those that have been on my paint effects class.
